Just want to start off saying that I thought the guy that came out did an excellent job. I have an injured shoulder and could not physically replace a broken garbage disposal and everything with the replacement went smoothly. I have no complaints with the work done. My main issue is that the cost of the repair was exorbitant at over $1400 for a disposal that is not even top of the line. This was not a replacement that required anything big like redoing plumbing, and after talking to people after the fact, the consensus was the price was excessive. It is my fault for not doing research, but when I asked another local plumber what they would have charged, it was a good bit less than half the cost. I also could not get an estimate range for a standard garbage disposal replacement over the phone, which I thought was standard practice but now know that is not the case. I was also asked about options to replace the p-trap which was having no issues and looked fine when I took it apart. This was another several hundred dollars on top and after repeatedly asking why I would need this or if it was beneficial, I was told that it was not necessary and that they have to ask about it. Maybe their prices are more reasonable for other things, but at least for me the pricing and upselling I experienced is enough for me to go with someone else when something comes up.
