So grateful for Stephanie Knapp she has truly made my life and family living situation better. It got to a point were I was getting anxiety from my child school calling. It was like a fear everyday at work listening for my phone to ring for them to tell me the next issue my child was having. I never knew I needed an IEP advocate for my daughter, who was adjusting to her new school. She was getting suspended at least 2 times a week, continuous phone call and email from the school about her behavior within school and with her peers. If your child has any disabilities i.e autism, self regulation issues, ADHD whatever I strong encourage you to not attend any IEP meetings on your own. You need someone who now the laws and school policies to advocate your child needs and to hold the school accountable to do there job and not to just push you aside, suspend your child, having them miss out on school and not being around there peers. Stephanie has been a lifesaver!! She has helped my son and I so much. For the first time in his many years of schooling he is actually happy to go to school and is able to learn. He went to having D's and F's and just being passed on to the next grade to getting A's and B's. From not wanting to step foot in a school building to getting ready in the morning without fighting me all the way to the bus stop in tears. She is very knowledgeable about the IEP process and has helped my son get the services and placement he needed to succeed. Stephanie has also helped me become more confident and to be able to speak up for my son in IEP meetings. She is with me every step of the way with any questions or concerns I may have, or to clear up any misunderstandings I may have.
