I have terrible hair loss and have had three previous procedures at two other local practices, both now closed down. Decent results, not quite enough. Plus, I always wondered, "did they really do as many grafts as they said ?" (and charged me for?) Needed a final go-around to finish the job. After months of careful looking, I decided to talk with Dr Burka. We had a very comprehensive interview in Chevy Chase. I was impressed, and agreed to move forward. The work was virtually painless. His equipment is new, not old & worn out looking like other places, and the surgical staff working alongside him have the quiet confidence of people who clearly know what they're doing. Most importantly, I trusted Dr Burka that he did what he said he would do. Other practices I always wondered ... did they really do 1,500 grafts ? How would I ever know ? With Dr Burka, I literally could hear him, quickly and efficiently counting & preparing the individual grafts, all the way to my roughly 1,800 number. After seeing the results, the difference between his work and the other places is night and day. It's true - not all transplant practices are the same. Dr Burka is a "real" General Surgeon and not just a transplant guy. The quality of his work is obvious. He's not the cheapest practice in town, but I'm comfortable saying he's the best. Long after I've forgotten the cost, I'll still be appreciating the results. With him, you definitely get what you pay for. It's the best money I've ever spent. My thanks to Dr Burka and his staff for a job well done.

Had a great conversation with Dr. Burka and he was very helpful and transparent. He explained all the options, was thoughtful in his responses and very good guy overall. Highly recommend him.

I had my second transplant with Dr. Burka. He is very knowledgeable and honest. He also truly cares about his patients. I highly recommend this practice for individual attention and a great results.
