image In reviewing previous reviews of this office (even from years ago), I am sad to see some of the same problems that I was going to mention here. Specifically, I am referring to the lack of consideration and attention one receives from the (many) employees at the front desk, especially if you happen to be a non-native English speaker. Also, no one is going to help you if you happen to miss and/or forget to reschedule an appointment, even if it has to do with acne prescriptions that require continuity. On our first visit with a new dermatologist this morning, we felt more personal attention and respect than during the nearly seven months our daughter was a patient at MedStar Health Dermatology at Chevy Chase.

image I would give zero stars if possible. I waited from the end of Nov til the end of Feb to get an appointment. By the time I saw the doctor, most of the problem had cleared up except to two places. The doctor never looked at my skin. In fact, she stood across the room from me. The resident took a quick glance at the back of my head, where I had the problem. They said they'd give me something, but I never got a prescription. I was told to do an allergy skin test and come back in 4 months. They said someone would call to schedule the appointment. When I went to the desk to schedule for 4 months, they offered me mid-July! I had to email about the allergy skin test to finally get someone. In the same email, I mentioned that I needed help with the issue on the back of my head. The doctor totally didn't pay attention or something or forgot. So his response wasn't helpful. I got a call to schedule. Have to wait until the beginning of July because they only have one person doing the patch test. Never heard from the doctor. This is the kind of care Georgetown is giving people. Too busy making money off of patients and insurance companies to provide any kind of patient care.

image This practice is highly inefficient! This fist time I waited for over 30 min to be seen. The second time I had to wait for over an hour. These people had no consideration of peoples time. They require people to reschedule their appointments when patients are late for 15 minutes, but they could completely disregard others time. Please avoid this place. Have your doctor refer you somewhere else!

image When I arrived, I checked in and waited for about 3 minutes until the nurse called me. I had filled in all the required information before arriving. All the nurses and the doctors were very polite, nice, friendly, and professional. They explained what they were going to do next and answered all the questions I had. I'm surprised that this place has such a low rating. I couldn't ask for a better appointment.
