Often people write strong, positive reviews when everything goes smoothly and perfectly with their experience. In comparison, it is sometimes a true test when some things go initially wrong or experience problems, and then how a service or contract team works to address them. We had such an event with a chimney repair and fireplace insert, and Johnson Chimney worked tirelessly and did an outstanding job in making everything perfect in the end. After our chimney suffered storm and tree damage , Walter and Joni responded immediately, helping us with the insurance inspection and providing detailed reports and estimates. We also elected to install a fireplace insert at the time, and the team went above and beyond to advise on how best to proceed, recommending different insert vendors, and explaining different cost-effective options. On the day of the installation, it was discovered there was miscommunications between ourselves, a vendor, and the Johnson Chimney team -- all leading to installation complications and extra costs for the job. All honest mistakes from all three sides, but where Johnson Chimney excelled was their hard work and constant communication, working with me to figure out how best to resolve the situation. They never paused, immediately talking through options and finding effective solutions. They even stepped up to help on issues from the vendor side, and ensured we got the work and insert done the right way with minimal additional expense. I cannot highlight enough their helpful communication, accepting where mistakes were made (several of which were not their own), finding fixes to the initial problems, and then addressing them head-on. I will continue to use Johnson Chimney Service and recommend them highly because of this experience.
