Charged $175 for an intake and first appointment. Canceled the appointment on Sunday for a Tuesday appointment. They said it wasn't 48 business hours. The fee does not go to your next appointment. Never once spoke to the provider. Only receptionists. Very disappointed in the customer service. Not understanding of people's schedules or the fact that I was a potential client. I would not recommend their services based on their customer service. Sent me repeated bills to my home with no phone calls explaining the fees.

NP Monet? More like NP Money because thats all she cares about.. I moved to the area for a job, and had previously been seeing another provider in my old area for my anxiety and ADHD. My previous provider had me take a diagnostic exam and over the course of time try several medications, and I was put on adderall XR for several months for my ADHD. I made it clear to NP Monet via our telehealth call that this medication was important for me to function, and that I would be running out soon. Her response was that she needed to see documentation from my previous provider. I contacted my previous provider multiple times and had the documents sent over multiple times, and never heard back from NP Monet/her assistant until reaching out myself, who said initially that the documents were never received. Upon getting my previous provider to send everything they had of me, she claimed that it wasnt enough and that the diagnostic tests were random and made no sense. I understand how another companys systems may not carry over, but its unprofessional to completely discount another providers opinion and treatment plan entirely. NP Monet acted skeptical & condescending as I explained how I had originally went to my old provider for anxiety and then progressed into getting my ADHD treated - it was as if she didnt believe me? I understand the credibility of providers will vary but treating your ADHD patients like theyre lying to you every time they request the medication they need is not very good practice. That being said, she didnt care that I had run entirely out of my medication and was coming to her out of desperation because she had wasted a whole month saying that my provider never sent the documents. I truly wish I had given up on her earlier so I wouldve had the chance to get my medication sooner. In our discussion, she suggested another medication as a substitute for the adderall. To me, that makes no sense - if Im on a treatment plan for nearly a year with medication that I know works for me, why would I start on something that would take weeks to work, if it even does? I declined and she responded that if I wanted my medication she would be sending me to her colleague to be drug tested and have other tests performed (to prove i have ADHD) before I could have my medication. I found this to be ridiculous for multiple reasons, one of the main ones being that she claims to treat ADHD. What would be the point of me having paid you for multiple sessions just for you to send me elsewhere? On top of this, getting in contact with her was extremely difficult - you will not be interacting with NP Monet most times outside of appointments. Even then, every appointment I had just consisted of me explaining myself and not really getting anywhere - Id be met with the same run-around response. Best believe I got charged for those appointments of her wasting my time, though. I had started to seek treatment in August 2022 and was in the same exact place by October 2022. PLEASE save your money and do NOT get treated here.

I'm confused about the negative reviews here on google. I had a fantastic experience with Mone't. She corresponded with me outside of our regular appointment to sort out issues with my insurance and pharmacy. She was flexible with scheduling, was open to my questions and feedback, and I never felt like she was misunderstanding me. The only issue I experienced was when she switched patient portals, which caused a communication mix up, but that was a tech issue and not an issue with this provider. I've worked with many psych doctors and professionals over the years, and Mone't is one of the best.

One of the most frustrating experiences Ive had with a mental health professional. She gaslights, invalidates, and endangers her patients, and treats them like problems instead of people. Both my partner and I have had very negative experiences with her. In my case, she ignored most of the symptoms I was experiencing and diagnosed me based on stereotypes within 15 minutes. She was very condescending and dismissive, and gaslit me when I brought up any valid questions or concerns. I met with her during a very critical period in my life and the way she approached diagnosing and treating me contributed to my declining mental health. My partner saw her more long-term, and recently sought out help for acute distress related to her diagnoses. Instead receiving any help or advice, Monet seemed personally offended that the medication she prescribed wasnt working, and proceeded to very suddenly take my partner off of ALL her medications. Given the high dosage, the fact that she stopped several medications so suddenly was baffling, and actively endangered my partner since most of them have significant withdrawal symptoms and she was not weaned off of any of them. Monets response to a patient seeking out help in a time of crisis was unprofessional, irresponsible, and prioritized her own ego over the patients wellbeing. My partner said it felt like she was being punished for not having a good enough response to the medications. Doctors like this are the reason so many people are afraid to ask for help, and contribute to the very issues patients are trying to treat. Being treated like a problem instead of a human being has very real effects on patients, and its clear that Monet either doesnt realize this or just doesnt care.

I have ADHD, and have been successfully medicated for it for over 6 years. Getting my adhd medication from this office has been a nightmare. I often had to follow up multiple times to get my adhd medication. Interacting with her is a process of proving you arent up to nefarious dealings. You cant speak to her by phone without an appointment, and when you make an appointment on her system, she will sometimes change or cancel them without warning or comment. She treated me like I couldnt be trusted, has systems that do not work (several times my medication was not filled and tests she ordered were never received by testing labs, so I had to go through my own primary care to get tests she requested; she made unilateral medication decisions based on an erroneous belief that I simply refused to take a test, which was easily disproven my communications with my primary care. Once she received the requested test, she released my medication without apology or acknowledgement that she made a mistake). Several times, my pharmacy told me I need to call my doctor (her) to release my script so they can fill it, and I had to call and message multiple times to get my medication. She also gave me conflicting information regarding how many times I needed to see her. First it was every 3 months, then it was every time I asked for a refill of my adhd medicine. Since I only saw this person for two months, I tried to trudge on. When I expressed frustration with her assistant for how I was treated and these poor systems, she had her assistant let me know she was dropping me as a patient, immediately. I dont think I need to explain why its problematic to have your assistant let your patient know you are dropping them. I also dont think I need to tell you why its potentially dangerous to drop a patient receiving mental health services from a telepsychiatry office without first speaking with them and providing closure and ensuring a transition plan. Quite honestly, this is the worst treatment Ive ever experienced from a medical professional, and I see a lot of medical professionals due to chronic pain issues. I told her poor assistant (since her boss wouldnt speak to me directly) that she needed to change her behavior and fix her systems because if she doesnt, I truly believe she will cause a patient harm. I wrestled with writing this review because there are so few black medical professionals, and publishing this review will impact the small business of a black woman, but at this point I feel it would be a disservice to future patients if I didnt share my experience. The unfortunate thing is, I truly think she cares. I spoke with her twice via teleconference, and she was warm and inviting. Thats why her behavior outside of check ins is so perplexing and jarring. I think that she truly wants to help people, but something happens where if she doesnt mesh with a patient, she makes assumptions about that patient and it impacts her ability to conduct adequate followup care. That, coupled with being a relatively new business (I believe about a year in operation? Maybe a few months more?) means she is still likely working out her systems, and there are some gaps. However, rather than acknowledging that, she seems to put the blame on the patient. Thus, even though I believe she came into this work for the right reasons, I think that she needs to put some firm systems in place, develop some emotional maturity, and reflect on how and why she makes assumptions about her patients. Good intentions are not enough when your actions make your patients feel worse every time they interact with you outside of sessions. I hope that she takes these reviews, (Im the third bad review) to heart, and truly reflects in why she came into this work, and what it takes to do this work well, in order to ensure that her actions more accurately align with her values.
