I was skeptical and nervous at first when my son told me he was going to begin ketamine treatments, especially because it isn't covered by insurance and I would have to help finance it. But even the small improvements in his daily demeanor have genuinely shocked me, and even brought my wife to tears. I felt compelled to come on here and tell you my perspective as an outsider parent supporting their loved one through this process. The clinic itself thankfully offers a free consult and flexible scheduling. Your appointment time is accurate as you're put in a room almost immediately upon arrival, so no annoyingly long wait time unlike other clinics. The staff exemplified extensive knowledge on the treatments during the consult (we spoke with Sam) and even the assistant was able to answer some looming questions I had; so you know you're in good hands! After every appointment, I debrief the experience with my son and he constantly raves about the care provided. The front desk is welcoming, even to non-patients, a rarity in healthcare nowadays. I can only personally attest to an insightful conversation with Christian who was warm, charming, and empathetic-I was even offered a snack while I waited for my son to finish up. To anyone wondering whether or not these treatments are worth the investestment, I would implore them to give it a try and definitely go with Avesta! Wishing you the best on your journey, hopefully ketamine can do for you what it's done for my son and our family.

I was a patient of Avesta Ketamine and Wellness for over three years, and during that time, I paid more than $30,000 out of pocket. Initially, I wrote a review so positive they quoted me on their website. Unfortunately, as time moves on, things change, and so for the good of those seeking help, Ive decided to update my review to reflect the current reality. Particularly over the last year, Avesta has sought to rapidly expand, and things have seemed to dramatically decline. Staff turnover became commonplace, and finding enough staff to service appointments seemed to become a struggle. Worse still, the care became very inconsistent. I started having a lot of problems with IVs not being properly done, or the NP not even being able to insert the IV catheter. It got to the point where I was actually afraid to go to my appointments. Each week I was essentially receiving an infusion from a stranger, some of whom were really not very good at their jobs. There were times I didnt feel safe when I had to go alone. Once, I pressed the emergency button, and nobody came. In order to have any impact on the underlying depression, mindset during a Ketamine infusion is critically important. I found more and more that my infusions stopped working. As existing problems continued and new problems arose, my concerns fell on deaf ears. I even contacted Ladan Eshkevari with the help of my therapist to try to explain concerns around my treatment at her clinics. She didnt seem to want to hear about any problems. Every time I tried to talk to her about it in person, she shut me down. As the problems continued, I became more disinclined to express concerns because she always became so defensive and combative when I did. My epiphany that care is less important than profit to Avesta came recently when I woke up very sick one morning. I was so ill I passed out and fell on the floor, with a horrible headache and vomiting. My husband insisted on immediately taking me to Urgent Care, but I was supposed to have an infusion appointment that day, so I texted Dr. Eshkevari to let her know why I wouldnt be there. Her response was to insist that I still pay the full price of the treatment I didnt receive. Ultimately she "let me off the hook" after much back and forth. I never signed a cancellation policy. Nonetheless, under these specific circumstances, one would hope she would not have administered an infusion on me in that state in the first place and would agree I needed more urgent care that day. Finally, I put the Dr. in quotes when referring to Ladan Eshkevari because, while she does hold a PhD in physiology, she is not a medical doctor, and I feel like Avesta is sometimes a little misleading on that point.

I have been a patient of Avesta Wellness for nearly a year now. I am completely satisfied with them, and recommend them highly! When I first approached Avesta, I was super impressed by Stephanie, as she patiently and thoroughly explained to me what Avesta could offer. Stephanie is a terrific representative for the company! I can honestly state that every Avesta employee that has worked with me has been outstanding. Both the Nursing and Clerical staff have been kind, compassionate and very professional. Everyone here does a great job of making you feel welcome and valued. That type of caring is so important in the Medical field, and it is the reason that I choose Avesta over other providers. The office is always super clean and mellow. Communication is great. The level of service is top notch, with great care from when you walk in the door until when you walk out the door! The only negative issue that I can point out is that the employee attrition rate seems to be a bit more than a patient would like to see. It is so comforting to continue to see the same smiling faces for long periods of time, and a bit unsettling when employees that you have bonded with seem to leave with greater than normal frequency. But I am willing to give Avesta the benefit of the doubt; perhaps what I have noticed is just a short term trend.
