Gregg Johnson The Tonsorial Artist

I loved to Maryland in 2021. One of my biggest worries about moving from where I lived was, who am I going to find that cut my hair as well as the last person who cut my hair, which took me forever to find. Within that same year of living here we had made friends and one of those friends connected me with Gregg when I expressed my anxieties over finding someone to cut my hair. Whats great about this, is Gregg and I hit it off right away. He was able to not only get a full feel for how my hair works/grows, but he also pointed out stuff to me that others havent, and was able to work within the oddities of my hair. The way he sculpts and shapes my hair is bar none the best haircuts Ive ever had, hes given me the same haircut which Ive loved when I ask for it, where as Ive had others never able to quite recapture the perfect cut, save for the person who used to do my hair in London, Ontario. He listens and styles me when I want it, other times I let him canvas my hair. He will tell me what will work if the style I ask for could work, will work and even if it wont work and I trust his judgement completely. When he freestyles I never leave disappointed or worried about my hair. Im always thrilled with it, each and every damn time. He is personable, warm and kind, his music and conversation is always on point. I am by no means not a picky person, and a little neurodivergent, and particular when it comes to my hair. When I say its perfect every time, Im not using that word frivolously. Gregg is phenomenal, and worth the travel from Annapolis to Bethesda!!! Its not every day you meet someone else who is fully aware of Milla Jovovichs music career and also owns the divine comedy album. 10s across the board, Google doesnt have a rating high enough! And as per my pics, youll even seen when I have absolute messy bed head, Im still super happy with how it looks!

Gregg has been transforming my hair with his artistic expertise for the past seven years and counting! He is a master at all types of hair and amazing at color. After discussing what style or color you would like, Gregg mixes his own colors together from scratch in the studio. He does beautiful highlights and my daughter loved her edgy purple tint. I definitely recommend Gregg.

Gregg is the best! Hes done everything to my hair: cut it short, dye it purple, make me blonde, work with the curl, and hes a BOSS at it.
