The Goddard School of Bethesda

I just went back to work and took my daughter here for daycare (4 months old). Goddard has made the entire process of returning to work much less stressful for me, giving me peace of mind that my baby is so well cared for. The best things are the extended pickup/drop off times, additional enriching programs for kids and families, the multiple photos daily of my baby smiling and enjoying daycare, and, most importantly, the attentive, experienced, and caring staff. We are so glad we chose Goddard for our daughter, and so is she!

My 3 YO has been at Goddard for 2 years and my infant since he was 3 months old. The teachers are amazing and take such loving care of the kids. They do a great job in teaching through play. My daughter has loved every teacher, and our son is so happy going to his infant classroom. The directors are also wonderful and foster a great community and support system. There are also other perks, like Parents Night Out, a monthly event on Saturdays that gives us an opportunity to have reliable childcare so we can have time to ourselves. There are frequent transitions to new classrooms, which can be a bit difficult at times, but it hasn't impacted our overall experience.

As a parent, I understand how hard it is to find the right daycare and preschool. For the past two years, both our kids have been going to Goddard Bethesda and we feel fortunate to be a part of the community. What sets Goddard Bethesda apart is its teachers and staff. They are hard-working and dedicated. You can tell they pour their energy and time into caring and teaching. And the kids love their teachers. Goddard Bethesda has a diverse and interesting curriculum with specialty classes including arts, music, sports and foreign language. My kids have shown a lot of growth. Highly recommended.

We have been a Goddard family for over a year, first with our daughter (now in pre-school) and shortly after, our son, who started in the infant classroom last year. Both have done incredibly well since joining with all aspects of development, and we love seeing them enjoy going to school every day. All of the teachers have been wonderful - learning and meeting the needs of our kids - and truly care about their wellbeing. We also appreciate the countless enrichment activities that the school incorporates (Spanish, Mandarin, music, soccer, etc.).

Going through the process of finding a daycare for our toddler/infant at the time was stressful - we're so thankful that we ended up at Goddard of Bethesda. During the tour we met one of the lead teachers and loved how the class was run - she mentioned how if we were in her class, she'd get our toddler walking and talking in no time - true to her word, we have a running, talking toddler now and can't wait for every new word and skill learned. We love the structure class provides as well as the constant updates that are communicated to us. There is so much variety in the materials being taught to the fun activities each month brings. The administration keeps us informed on the fun activities, active recalls for our safety, fun festival and holiday events, and so forth (if you manage to enroll, take advantage of "Parents Night Out"). We see a difference in our child from the time before to after he was enrolled here - definitely a leap in his development. We are thankful to have found a place that cares about our toddler. Would highly recommend.
