Shady, greedy business. They lied about being able to cancel my lease without penalty. And they refuse to let me go now that the period I could cancel ended. I would have ended it if they had not lied to me.

This is a terrible property management company. Stay away from their communities they are terrible. Customer service, bad attitudes, work orders all bottom tier. They deserve a 0 star if I could give that. I live at Elme Marietta and Im terminating my lease IMMEDIATLY.

Incompetent jerks who are happy to take your money but when it comes to giving back deposits, they ghost you. No one to communicate with directly. Trash company

My fiance' lives at the Elme in Alexandria. The moment this property management company took over, it went downhill and fast. First, there is a leak in the garage which was fixed and then another one popped up. Second, he was told that they do not have enough maintenance staff to keep up with the repairs. There is insulation coming from the ceiling in the garages and water leaking from the ceilings. Rats have chewed through both cars twice. The other day, the dealership sent him a video of why there was a leak in his windshield and they showed rats had eaten through the drain pipe and there was rat feces in the sealing on the passenger side door. There are dead rats in the garage and no one has cleaned it up. There has been a dead rat in one spot since October. Property management was told a dozen times and it is still there. You literally have to blow your horn when you enter the garage to scare the rats. The trash is awful. The trash piles up and they cannot get rid of it quick enough. There are old appliances in the garage and it is also being used for storage while they are renovating the property. He has put in multiple tickets and they closed every single ticket and fixed nothing. Management won't call back, they give you the run around and want to blame it on something else. No one this was happening until they took over.

I have never experienced a company as utterly incompetent as Elme Communties and their employees at the Wellington in Arlington, VA. It is impossible to contact the Elme corporate office because they NEVER answer the phone, NEVER return phone calls or voicemails, and NEVER answer emails. I trued reaching out to them three times last month and have heard nothing back. I have a simple issue regarding my security deposit and over charges returned and yet I can't get ahold of the head office, despite being told by those at the Wellington that I need to contact the corporate office. The team at the Wellington says one thing, and then a month later they say they can't because corporate said no. This company does not care for its customers and has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. If the company continues to ignore me, I will be seeking a legal suit against them. You've lied and held onto my money for long enough.
