The only place where I actually felt like my therapist understood me & actually helped without rushing to prescribe medication!

I had my 1st consult on Jan 8th. I spent an hour talking to a Mr. Jackson to start therapy services. I was told I should receive a phone call by the end of the week to schedule my 1st therapy session. I called 2 weeks after to check on the process of my appt & was told that the young lady who schedules the appts was off at first and later told she was sick. I never heard from another person in this office until 2nd week of February. A voicemail was left asking me was I still interested in receiving services. A 2 weeks later I received a letter in the mail saying that I need to confirm if I want to receive services or not or I would be released as a patient. I never confirmed. At this point the office has shown me that they don't care about their patients. Lastly I received a letter saying that they have reached out to me several times & with no response I'm being released as a patient. I don't know how you release a patient that never received services. If I want to do services with them again, I have to wait 6 months to do so. When someone shows you they don't care, believe them. Stay away from this office.

Absolutely dumbfounded by the lack of professionalism at this place... I went here every week myself from 2009 thru 2015. I chose this place for my 7 year old daughter (who asked for therapy) because my experience here was good. I called and asked if virtual therapy would be available for her because we live in northern Harford County and was told that it was, but that she would have to come in for the first appointment. I scheduled it and my wife (her stepmother) took the day off work and took her. At that appointment, they only met with the intake person. My wife was then told that we need to come in-person to meet with doctor also, so she took a second day off and came again. The nurse practitioner they met with said some concerning things to my child, such as "you're 7 and you don't have a cell phone yet?! You should have one." That left me with a bad taste in my mouth. The NP also eluded to the fact that she is not a therapist but asked my child to her face, "do you want me to be your therapist?". Like any child would, when faced with confrontation, she said yes. Well, I called today to see who her therapist was going to be and was told I was not authorized to discuss that because my name wasn't on the file. I called to make the appointment to begin with! Instead, her stepmother was the one authorized. What?! My wife said they didnt ask her to tell them or fill out a form to say who any authorized people were. She asked who her therapist would be, was told it was the NP we didn't want. She asked to switch, they told her they would check with a supervisor and call back. When they called back, my wife was told they couldn't do virtual because of her age. We will be filing a complaint with the board. We advocated for our child and they didn't like it. That's retaliation folks. Don't go here.
