My brother died in March 2023 and we used the funeral home services at Loudon Park, which were phenomenal. A number of my family members are buried there but my brother was cremated so this review is just about the funeral home. Im thinking about him and just felt compelled to write a review even though its been a year.
Staff was friendly, compassionate, communicative and understanding. Stuart was a one of a kind guy and had mentioned some unique requests before his passing that we did our best to honor. One of them was that he wanted everyone to be served peel and eat shrimp, save the shells, and put them in his pockets for him to take with him. It may seem so trivial, but I will never forget Jerry taking the time to walk around to each table at the reception collecting a few of everyones shrimp shells in a cup so we could stuff them in his pockets. After learning that Stuart loved music and played guitar, Jerry also took it upon himself to order guitar picks that people who came to pay their respects could take with them in memory of my brother. Its truly the little things that matter and I dont think my family and his friends could have asked for a better place to say goodbye and grieve Stuarts untimely death. As backwards as it probably sounds, I have positive memories about my brothers funeral and that is truly a gift.
Jamie and the rest of the staff were also wonderful, we appreciated them all so much!

Family recently buried our mom at Loudon Park cemetery next to her husband/our father. As a grieving family, we were exceptionally disappointed with the service and handling of my moms burial at Loudon Park. To plan for her burial, we had an appointment to settle details that included identification of the lot she would be buried with our dad. Our Dad is former military, so he was buried in the military section of Loudon Park. As we went to view the gravesite, we were disturbed and exceptionally disheartened at the grounds around the gravesite that included damage to our dads headstone - muddy, scratched, missing vase, and military emblem no longer on headstone all likely damaged by equipment that had gone over the grave site. There were track marks around the entire area and other gravesites had a similar circumstance clearly a lack of respect for those buried, especially our military who served our country. When we pressed for action, we were met with a lack of urgency or clear immediate next steps to ensure the situation would be corrected. After long conversations and escalation, personnel finally indicated they would speak with those in charge to correct the situation. On the next day, the headstone was polished, vase replaced but no metal was ever located to re-attach. For the memorial service itself, the area only had 8 plastic chairs, no canopy for those that could not be in sun, flags were not flying (stating its seasonal) and most disappointing, the casket was put on an old piece of flimsy board that was exposed during the service to all those attended. To say the least, at a time families are grieving, it was so disappointing that Loudon Park personnel did not consider the details important for sending off their loved ones, and for ensuring that those already buried remain in a peaceful and respectable setting.
