Zoned For Kidz Child Care Center

About a year and a half ago. I came in to view the center and talk with the owner in her office. I'll start with the positive. It looked like the staff was organized with they daily routine with the kids, clean and definitely had educational component. The negative was that it did not seem inclusive for children with disabilities. I talked to the owner sitting down and told her my daughter had autism and needed services during the day while in daycare. The services do come to daycares especially for parents that have to work. These services help assist the child to be up to speed and managing emotions and behavior in public settings that prepares them for school. Early intervention with children that have special needs has been scientifically proven to be more successful later in life so it's important to they growth and development. well she didn't seem to care and had to ask her staff if they felt like helping with that. She also seemed to get irritated that I was asking her questions about her center. I think that she was accustomed to parents just having to "hurry"and drop their children off. The fact that she got defensive about me asking questions or thinking that it was some type of attack was very weird because I was taught that you need to go and interview different daycares so that you can make sure that it is the best one for you and your family. Well I live right in this area but I had to keep my daughter in a daycare in the county where I have to commute a hour by bus because they were being inclusive and allowing my daughter to get the service she need. I would suggest that parents that do have children with disabilities to really look at other options where they already have services at. And no your child does not need to be isolated or only in a class with other special needs kids. It's called INCLUSION for a reason. Adults need to teach children how to treat others around them respectfully . Unless the child has major issues where they are endangering others , it's no reason to not be supportive of them getting services that helps with development delays. It's a few other daycares in Baltimore city that are more inclusive including extra rooms as well but they fill fast. Just really do your research especially if you have a child with special needs the fact that she was uncomfortable with questions also made me doubt her honesty. Just honest review. Thank you. Rogers nursery and also at the shopping center with the save a alot are both inclusive with supporting services

Staff is great not a big turn over my kids have been there for three years, there prices are reasonable compare to market rates , Ms keir is the best .
