The Westin Annapolis

Traveled here for business. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were very modern. The valets were very friendly as well.

As an avid business and personal traveler, 5 star rating (I.e., Id visit again). Very well maintained, no strange odors, extremely friendly/helpful front staff. Family fun in the hotel pool. I didnt use but the exercise room was very busy with other guests and seemed spacious. Marriott chain seems to be removing microwaves (not just this location), but they did have a common unit with the ice machine. Recommend valet since other parking is city and not hotel (and about the same cost). The online text valet/request vehicle/tip system is the first Ive seen and worked VERY well. Special note to Noah, Kevin, and Marcos for the pro valet help. Overall - great stay if youre visiting Annapolis. Beware of summer/tourist crowds and this location away from ground zero may be perfect for many people. Nearby activities: Downtown historic Annapolis was a wonderful stop. Toured the Naval Academy, had a hotdog at Pipins (highly recommended), and dinner at Boatyard - probably the best Crab Cake Ive ever had (mostly crab, very little breadcrumb). Walkability: About a mile to downtown Annapolis. During spring break, easy drive/park. However, in peak summer/tourist seasons, walkability from the hotel to downtown is ok. Food & drinks: Marriott vs Hilton: I dont care for Starbucks coffee and didnt use the Marriott facilities.

Great atmosphere, great staff. Very clean and professional. This doesnt seem like much, but the water with lime in the lobby says a lot.
