Copy of complaint email sent: I was taken to look at property by Mike Cobb. We were informed the unit is available and even had discussions immediately after the showing about our LOI. Mike engaged in conversation about how to make our LOI appealing to the owner and we moved ahead literally hours after our meeting. Sir, this unit was NOT available.... and we later found out it never really was. One may claim, of this sort of thing happens all the time. It is the owners responsibility to keep the broker informed - but we both know that is just an amateur excuse. Responsible brokers check the status of properties before showing them. Responsible brokers maintain a rapport with owners and proactively keep themselves informed. I can go on, but you get the point. Ive been buying/selling/renting residential real estate for a decade in both Boston and Portland. In my experience this type of thing does not happen amongst businessmen of integrity and honor.

Matthew Cardente has consistently provided excellent service, working diligently to find me properties that fit my needs and get me the best possible deals. Prior to hiring Matthew in 2006, I used other brokers in Portland, so I am able to compare the services CRE provides to those other firms. Matthew Cardente is, in my mind, the hardest working broker in town and I would recommend him highly.
