I'll give a one because I can't give a zero. I am going to write about their loon relocation program from a personal prospective. I have or my parents have had a camp on Brettuns Pond in Livermore all my life, we also have our home here. In all the years that we have lived here (I am soon to be 63) we have NEVER had baby loons. This was the first year, in my life, my children lives, and our grandchildren lives that we have had beautiful babies arrive on their parents backs. Such a beautiful sight!!!!!!! Much to my and others great disappoint one of the loons was "jacked" during the night by this Biodiversity Research Institute, in the night and taken to MA. We had only two loons and two babies and to have one taken by the Biodiversity Research Institute was heartless and cruel and totally unnecessary. There are rivers, ponds, lakes that have loons that are not in the public eye. Those are the places if MA needs loons to repopulate the lakes that the loons should come from. They should not be searching at small ponds that have not seen baby loons in generations.
