Dysfunctional Window Screens: Schiavi built an addition to our modular home in 2014/2015. The original home (Maple Leaf) was also built by Schiavi in 2006. We are very happy with both the original modular home and the addition. Our only concern is with the window screens in the addition. They were installed with no tabs or grips, so that they cannot be removed for cleaning, etc. However the screens in the original modular home are easy to remove. We called Schiavi and they sent a representative (Carol) to show us how to remove the screens. She was very responsive and polite, but she was also unable to remove the screens. She referred us to her boss, Jeff, and told us that Jeff may be able to get some replacement screens for us. So we called and emailed Jeff several times, but he never responded. I contacted Carol again and she suggested we contact Steve in sales. She said he would be able to order new ones for us, but we would have to pay for them (at cost, with no mark up). This was not ideal, but we agreed. After some time passed with no word from them, I contacted Carol again. She said that Jeff told her that we'd have to go to Hammond Lumber and purchase them ourselves. We then called Hammond Lumber and were told that we couldn't purchase from them and we would need to go through the company where we purchased the windows! I contacted the people at Schiavi again, and received no response. I am very disappointed that they do not stand by their products. We are stuck with screens that are dysfunctional, with no way to remove or replace them. Service: Home addition construction

Manager put me on hold for 20 minutes. I hung up called back and spoke to some one who told me they would get back to me, that was 3 days ago. No return call.
