While a Biddeford/Saco native, I have lived out of state for many years. For Father's Day this year, I thought I would try something different, and remotely hire a guide to catch my father a native brook trout, since he is no longer able to fish. Easier said than done. It took weeks to find a guide willing or able to do this. I finally found Tom Welch of Magalloway Guide Service out of Old Orchard Beach. Not only was Tom willing to do this for me, he refused payment, and delivered the trout personally to my father (some of you may have seen Anthony Lombardi's Saturday article in Biddeford's Tribune Journal). I couldn't ask for a better guide or human being. Thanks much, Tom!
