I recently referred a friend from out of town who needed an apartment. I called Jamie who was super responsive and helped out to get (my friend) a place that met her wants and needs. I would highly recommend Shapiro rental!

The Shapiro family has been an absolute pleasure to work with throughout our tenure. Our journey with them began in 2019 when Mike took a leap of faith and welcomed us as tenants. Since then, Mike has not only been our landlord but also a cherished mentor to my husband and me. Fast forward to the present day, Jamie has been nothing short of exceptional in addressing any concerns we've had. She consistently handles every issue promptly and is incredibly responsive to calls and texts, which provides us with a sense of security and ease. This family is deeply committed to giving back to the community, especially by addressing housing challenges as effectively as possible. I wholeheartedly recommend them, and if there were an award for the best landlord, I would enthusiastically nominate them without hesitation. Thank you to the Shapiro'!

If I could give zero or negative stars, I would!! Jamie is by far the worst property manager I've dealt with in all my years and I'm in my 50s. In 3.5 months in her property, there were numerous repairs that were required. The home was not ready for rent, but she listed it and had us move in anyway. Her response time is lacking. Her communication is terrible when you need something, but she's pushy when she needs from you. When you do speak over the phone, she has a terrible habit of cutting you off and speaking over you. Her follow-through is zero. Her excuse and blame level is high. At the time of our departure, there were still 2 unresolved repair requests, one from 11 weeks prior and one from 7 weeks prior. And to top it off, for a property she purchased in Dec and rented to us in March, there was no grass in half of the backyard, not even snow because of pine bushes/trees. So that is where we chose to keep our approved chicken coop. But when we left, she kept some of our deposit for reseeding grass (that's not going to grow) that was never there. Talk about petty. Steer clear at all costs! This is one of those bad management companies that have insanely high rates and ask for far more than most other rentals for move-in but don't have the service or quality of home to back up those prices!! Buyer beware! Edit: attempts were made on one repair in the last week trying to schedule while we were in process of moving and the second was agreed you'd do after we left. At that point we'd already been dealing with a leaky faucet for 11 weeks. Hardly done in a timely manner. But nice of you to try to save face in your response and look like a willing company. Also nice that you're sorry after my review but didn't care during the tenancy. Again trying to save face. It's laughable. Edit: more proof of ineptitude, the refund check we did get has been rejected by the bank because she spelled our name wrong, and now she's not answering my husband's texts. So we get to wait, per usual.
