My appointments were often an hour over the scheduled time but I put up with it because Dr. Gallo was a good doctor. After she left they stuck me with a new doctor who I had a very bad experience with. I requested to see someone different and it took them 3 months to get back to me and say sorry you're stuck with him.

I've had several issues with appointments being canceled on me and my doctor not getting messages. Dr. Gallo was the only reason I stayed with Martin's Point. I received word that she would be leaving at the end of September. I took time off from work today to have lab work done in preparation for my physical next week before she left. When I got there I was told there was a note on my file stating to reschedule my appointments. Nobody called me, nobody informed me that Dr. Gallo had already left. They told me today that I had to reschedule with another doctor for my labs and physical. I told them not to bother. I'm done with Martin's Point.

Prescriptions are not treated with any urgency or importance. I was completely cut off from a medication because I was attending school out of state. For over a year, I had no issues picking up my prescription from my pharmacy there until all of a sudden my provider refused to issue any more refills until I could make a visit in person. I was not told about this in advance and was incapable of making an office visit so my provider issued one last refill (without any guidance on how to taper off of the medication safely) however, my pharmacy did not have any in stock. When I explained that I never got the refill, my provider did not care. Medications should really be taken more seriously.

I had an extremely distressing encounter with Dr. Oakley, as she consistently dismissed my concerns and failed to acknowledge my symptoms of infection. Despite my insistence that I was experiencing an infection, she attributed it to gas or GERD without conducting another test. My pleas for retesting or referral to a specialist were ignored. Frustrated and desperate for assistance, I turned to All About Woman and earnestly sought their help. To my dismay, I discovered that I had been suffering from a severe infection for the past four weeks, a condition Dr. Oakley had steadfastly refused to address. This incident is not isolated, as she has a pattern of prioritizing her own judgments over patient input. Adding to the ordeal, Dr. Oakley abruptly canceled necessary lab tests a day before my scheduled appointment, causing an additional week-long delay. This experience has left me with significant emotional distress. I anticipated being treated with empathy and professionalism, not being disregarded due to insurance concerns or any personal reservations she may have had. Despite my requests to change doctors and file a complaint, I have received no follow-up since September until today after my many calls . The essence of the issue is that obtaining proper medical care should not be this challenging. Patients deserve to be treated with compassion and respect, not subjected to neglect or financial motivations. It is disheartening to feel that the medical profession, which should prioritize patient well-being, is compromised by financial considerations.
