I have many reviews up on Google from everything from restaurants to service providers. My reviews are mostly positive and I don't put up critical or negative ones lightly. Sadly though, when it comes to Envy and it's owner, I can't emphasize strongly enough how much I recommend looking elsewhere. The owner basically decided that he didn't want to continue with a project they had agreed to do for us....but only told us when I finally caught up with him after weeks of not corresponding after doing the first part. After talking things out we had mutually agreed to put whatever the "misunderstanding" was behind us and he would help us move forward...only to once again not be responsive. When I just asked him to finish off the items which were left undone for the work he had already performed, and been paid weeks and then months before, he would continue to promise to come out and fix it...only to no-show time and time again. And then, only when I threatened legal action did he come out to see everything, promising to both me and my wife what he would do to finally address the issues. And even then, he did the bare minimum and did not do everything he had promised even that day....despite this FINALLY getting done at the end of August when the work was mostly complete at the end of March! Again, I say none of this lightly. Sadly, all of this can be corroborated by texts, emails and pictures. So beware indeed....there are many better quality and much more trustworthy and honest contractors out there to hire in my opinion. UPDATE AFTER OWNER RESPONSE - (This work was done earlier this year, not 6 years ago as owner seemed to imply) Its disappointing that as a "professional" you continue to blame someone else, a customer no less, for causing a problem, while not recognizing what you possibly did wrong. Again - This is a very honest, sincere and accurate representation of the issues we dealt with working with you. - You decided you didn't want to continue the job without telling us. My wife and I expected you back to continue the work any day, and it was after weeks of no response on text or emails did I happen to see you at the job site next door and I walked over to you, did you tell me this. - After being surprised that I actually did exactly what you implied I didn't in your response. I took ownership of it. I apologized for whatever I did that could have caused you to feel that way, because I had not realized I had done that. We even "talked it out" after which I asked if you felt like you would feel comfortable moving forward with the project but understanding if you didn't want to. You AGREED! So if I was so difficult and was the "problem" why would you have agreed to move forward?....only to let us down again, btw - After realizing you could not be trusted, I asked you to remedy some issues on the work you HAD "finished". You told me SEVERAL times that you or your crew would be out to fix it, and each time, nobody showed up. - After months of this, I sent a text suggesting possible legal action and you responded (right away actually!) and came back out. While here, when we pointed out the loam we got was very rocky and was lower quality, you shared that you ALSO got complaints from another client you used it for at the same time. But you never once brought this up before, or checked to see if I had similar problems. Nor have offered then or since to fix it. Look you clearly care about your reviews more than you do about your workmanship or your customers. I called you for weeks with no response, but within 2 minutes of me posting the original review, you had texted and called me asking me to take it down. If you had just done the right thing, I would have said nothing bad. I wouldn't have recommended you but I would not have written anything bad. But this is what truly happened. So if people want to hire someone who cares more about LOOKING like a good contractor than actually BEING a good contractor, I will leave it to them to decide who to hire.
