From day one I knew this would be the place for me. I felt welcomed, and also respected from the second I walked into the beautiful barn. This place is my happy place. Dawn is absolutely amazing, and always puts the horses first. To say I got lucky finding this barn is an understatement. Bartlett Homestead has helped me through some of the darkest, toughest times. The horses are all so happy, and so well taken care of. The property is absolutely beautiful as well. I couldn't have dreamed of a better barn. Thank you Dawn and Paul!!

For the past two years I've been learning to ride at Bartlett Homestead Stables. This has been such a source of joy in my life, and I attribute the joy to Dawn! While I have taken some lessons over the years at other stables, these previous lessons were mostly about what I do so that the horse responds. Dawn's gift is in helping me to notice and make sense of the horse's cues and languages - and my role in creating and trusting in the horse-rider partnership. Dawn knows and appreciates each individual horse at Bartlett Homestead. She knows their likes and preferences, their individual personalities and needs, so that each horse receives personalized care. And it's just like that for me! Each lesson is individualized based on where I am in my learning, my goals and what I need next. I am continually delighted and surprised by what Dawn has in store for me and the many varied and interesting ways that she supports my learning. I could not ask for a better riding instructor!
