        We waited to get on their schedule , but well worth it. Half the price of two competitors, clean, functional and beautiful work. Professional and fast service during production. They cleaned up a hill side, took out old overgrown cmu block wall and ugly patio stone, hauled it away, graded it out with nice looking, natural boulders, pitched existing driveway from house out to street, paved it and solved drainage issues while making an easy pretty access to house. Would recommend them without hesitation.

        Labbe was good about getting a quote out in a timely manner and the work got done quickly. However, after the work began, they tried to charge me additional fees because they said they had not included something in the original quote that should have been included. I found that be be lacking in professionalism and borderline shady. Secondly, after working in my yard, they did a very poor job of loaming, raking out and reseeding the area. They also crushed and decommissioned a septic tank on my property, but soon after the work was done, there was some serious settling that needed to be addressed. I called the project manager who said they would return to finish the job to my satisfaction. They never did return on either count. No calls. No emails. After several attempts over several months I just gave up and did the work myself. I hesitated writing this review earlier in fear that I would need them back for something more serious, but its been over a year now so I'll take my chances and put it out there for future customers to consider.

        I contacted 3 companies for an estimate. The first two said they were interested and would have an estimator call me back. Labbe took my call, had an estimator call me back, came out and inspected the property, and emailed me an estimate within 24 hours. Still haven't heard from the other two. Labbe hasn't actually performed any work yet but their professionalism puts the others to shame.

      Rick, I’m sorry your experience with us was not what you were expecting. We strive to provide excellent customer service, although it appears we could have done a better job in your instance. However, we felt the need to respond to your review because we believe it is misleading. Before the job began the project manager warned you, in writing, that there may be additional street repairs required by the town once we received the street opening permit. If so, that would be an extra to the contract. You were provided with a detailed scope of work in advance which specifically excluded that potential extra work. The town ended up requiring that additional work, so we went ahead and did it. However, our project manager made the mistake of not notifying you once we got that instruction from the town. Even though you were given advance notice, since the project manager didn’t notify you before doing the extra work, we decided it wasn’t fair to charge you for it. Furthermore, crushing your septic tank in place and burying it wasn’t what we had recommended but you didn’t want to lose some trees/shrubs, so we agreed to take that approach. Due to the limited access it made it difficult to backfill and we acknowledged, in writing, that we needed to return to add additional material and redo the lawn. However, this issue was brought to our attention right before Thanksgiving and then shortly after that that winter started to set in. We made a commitment to you to return in the spring but fully admit we were slow in getting there. The last conversation our project manager had with you was that you took care of filling in the settlement yourself and that you were all set. We would have preferred to complete the project for you and had no idea how upset you were about that. Again, we apologize that your experience with Ray Labbe & Sons didn’t meet your expectations but we welcome you to contact us and we will gladly put you in touch with one of the owners to further discuss your concerns.
