Hands down the best gluten free baked goods Ive ever had (and I have had A LOT). The owners are so nice and enthusiastic. Plus, they have everything you could need for a delightful dinner party! I definitely will be returning again and again.

May 8, 2022 - Butchers & Bakers, recently opened, offers their clientele a cafe, a bakery, and meat market, rolled into one upscale establishment in the Tontine Mall! Steve Campbell (over 40 years experience) runs the meats , while Marissa Stahl-Hodgkins ( degree from SNHU) provides a gluten-free bakery! Loaded with glass cases and glass prep room, this allows customers see the food prepped & displayed! Once you survey the menu & food choices place your order! Customers can take their treasure home, or join friends for a lunch or dinner! Some of your homemade choices include: Gluten-Free Goods Muffins Cookies Cakes Pies Scones Tarts Brioche Cheesecake Focaccia Meats Local Farms Lamb chops English Roasts Sirloin Ribeye Bacon Chorizo Pork back Ribs Chicken Pancetta Cafe Selections ( Homemade) Hot Soups Ruben sandwich Pulled Pork Sandwich Egg salad Potato salad Potato chips Rice Bowls Specialty Cheeses My wife and I ventured over for lunch on Mothers Day . . . She enjoyed her stacked Ruben sandwich on gluten-free bread, and my packed pulled pork with coleslaw on a brioche bun was good! There were choices of drinks, but not as much I hoped for . . . Like a good Stewart Orange Cream soda, or a Sea Dog Hazel Nut Brown Ale ? If there were more choices of drinks & Maine beers, Id rate higher than a 4.6 rank ! Theres inside & outside tables, but less than the old Wild Oats ! I like the outside set up with clear awning & gas heating for colder days in autumn! Nice place, look forward to sampling the soups & baked goods! Note: Cant wait to sample the Gluten free baked goods!

Visited twice so far and definitely appreciate lots about this place. Curried squash soup and clam chowder were both excellent. Smoked chicken caesar very good. Corn bread was confusingly soggy, which I selected from grab and go section, not the 'bake later' or whatever it's called section. Which leads me to my qualm: it's early days so hopefully better signage and menus are on the way, but without them, I somehow racked up a $50+ lunch (cup of chowder, chix caesar, sandwich, cornbread + a seltzer water). Is that normal now? IDK, but it surprised me.

Fantastic food, location and staff! The facility is 100% gluten free, and have great options. Gluten free baked goods can be notoriously dry or crumbly, but these are some of the best I have had! It has it all!

Wow walking in I was totally amazed. Beautiful treats/desserts and cuts of meat! Huge glass windows showcasing the bakery/butchery operations. Prepared frozen meals for quick on the go was cool to see! The Chocolate moose tarts are a must buy!
