        Beautiful short walk straight to the pond. View is gorgeous. Water is crystal clear and warm in summer. A pond is defined as a body of water that sunlight can reach to the bottom throughout the entirety of the body of water. A lake is defined as a body of water that bas unreachable spots by sunlight. So it has nothing to do with the size or depth. I learned that only a few years ago and love sharing that info! Fees: None Restrooms: None Public Transportation: None Dog-friendliness: Secluded.

        Lovely walk through the forest to the lake. Spent a few hours swimming and sunning on the wide flat rocks. Paradise.

        0.3 mile walk to the water if you go straight to the lookout which is what I did. At the lookout theres some nice long flat rocks to sit on and a great easy way into clean clear water for swimming. It was beautiful!
