Sunnyside Motel & Cottages

Nice resonably priced cabin, fine for the 2 of us, able to make breakfast eventhough there is a boil advisary for this facility. We were given 2 small bottles of water upon arrival, but had to purchase BIG bottles at the grocery to use for everything. The owners, an older couple, do all of the work and keep everything clean working very hard every day. It is in an excellent location close to Acadia and BH without being TOO close. Amazing restaurants are very close.

Pros: Cottage 7 (2 bedroom) was clean and spacious and the kitchenette had most essentials. The location is convenient, close to Acadia and some great restaurants. Cons: We were told by owners at check in that the water had contaminants and there was a "boil water" order issued. No bottled water was provided. How inconvenient. We went to the store and stocked up so we could use it to wash dishes, brush our teeth and drink it. After research, turns out, the boil water order was limited to only certain businesses in the area with the Sunnyside Motel & Cottages specifically named on the official website. It also seems to be a repeat issue. Besides the contaminated water, not everything worked. The heater in the second bedroom did not work at all and it was a cool night in late September. Owner said to just shut the windows (we already had) and that we didn't need it. It was not fixed for the entirety of our 4-day stay. Rooms: Spacious and clean. Nearby activities: Close to Acadia and not far from many coastal towns. Food & drinks: Near some great restaurants.
