Flora Funga Farms

We had a fantastic foraging tour near Acadia with Willow today. Great communication leading up to the day of our foraging adventure and a wealth of knowledge about the things we came across in the woods. She was always ready with answers as we pointed or brought various things to her attention. Super kind and thoughtful and clearly inspired by the outdoors and our environment. We ended up with close to a pound of Hedgehog Mushrooms that we sauted and added to rice for dinner with the help of some cooking tips from Willow. I highly recommend Flora Funga Farms and Willow, the best foraging experience in Acadia and MDI that we have had.

My family had a wonderful time foraging with Willow. She was extremely knowledgeable and fun. We went on an easy going forest trail and found lots and lots of mushrooms, both edible and not!

Had a great time with Willow! She is highly knowledgeable about EVERYTHING! She taught us about the trees, the mushrooms, and ecology! She answered all questions with incredible patience and enthusiasm. Would definitely recommend!

Whether you're local or visiting MDI a guided foraging tour with Willow is a must! Willow is not only knowledgeable, but makes the experience fun and exciting; she is kind and makes it easy to ask questions. Not only did we learn about specific kinds of mushrooms, where and how to find them and about their different uses, but we left with heaps of edible mushrooms and instructions for prep! Willow was genuinely excited to share her passion with our group and we are so grateful for the experience. 11/10 would recommend!!

Our guided forage was awesome! Willow is so knowledgeable and kind. We found edible mushrooms and learned about the practical and medicinal uses of local plants. She answered all our questions and we learned so much. Well definitely do this again and if youre considering it, you should too!!
