    Booked an 60 min appointment. When I got in there, I discussed what I needed done. The tax preparer suggested I do a drop and go service. After 3 days of having my paperwork. I got a call that my taxes were done. There was never anything mention about pricing when I went in or over the 3 days. I was charged $714 dollars without knowing and never wouldve agreed to this price. I mean who would? Mine you I have one w2 and one rental property. I call and spoke with the person. Who said I thought we went over pricing? That we did not. I asked to speak to the office supervisor in regards to some type of refund. She also agreed that pricing shouldve been mention before. She stated she couldnt do any type of refund but would have the district manger call me.. I have called and left voicemails to her and this office. After a couple weeks manager finally reached back out. She offered me 20% off for being a new customer that I was suppose to receive when I walked in. She told me a check would come in the mail. Its been a month and still nothing, I called and texted no reply. I think this is very unethical practice!! Really hoping they would make it right considering it was a simple mistake on their employee. Never using again.

This year I made an appointment a few days in advanced and showed up only to be told that one of the tax preparers did not show up to work and they weren't sure if they were even going to show up and that I could wait or go somewhere else. Jackson Hewitt sends out messages to confirm and remind you of appointments but no one could give me a call, text or email to tell me that my appointment would not be at the scheduled time. How can an employee just show up when they feel like it and still be employed? And then to not even know if they are coming in. You clearly had planned on having two preparers available but when one did not show you made no effort to try to contact anyone who had already scheduled an appointment.

    Worst experience ever! Was my first time trying out Jackson Hewitt mainly because my husband and I had many changes last year and were hoping for guidance when filing this year. About halfway through our session I realized I was missing an important school document. I told our preparer Fred I could easily pull it up from my school account on my phone. He was very concerned about me not having it on hand and kept telling me I would just have to come back later to finish up. I kept mentioning if he just gives me a couple minutes I could have it available for him. Then he told my husband and I to move to the waiting area so he could assist the people waiting for their appt. Frustrated I mentioned, it will only take me a minute more to pull up the info then again he said we could just come back later to finish it up. He asked us to move so he can take other customers. As I stood up I was able to find my document and he said since I do have it he can finish up. Towards the end of he mentioned how we had extra documents and he has taken more than an hour to complete our return and how he normally has 3 other returns completed by now. The worst part is the fees at the end! Nearly cost us about $500 and said he had to charge us extra for the extra documents I had. I called ahead before setting up the appointment and asked about the fees. No one ever mentioned extra charge for extra documents. At this point I just wanted to get it over with and just complete my filing cause I wanted to get out of there so bad. The entire visit from start to finish was so cringing. Poor service, poor pricing and I wish I would have never walked into this place to begin with.
