    I recently went here for the first time about a little less than a week ago. I got acrylic nails with regular polish. I set up my appointment over the phone and was told I needed to give my card to hold my appointment in case I didnt show up or was late. Made sense to me and I had no problem. I went into my appointment, the staff seemed frazzled and unprepared. That was okay I understand that sometimes some days are harder than others. I was told I was getting a newer nail tech and I was okay with that because I trusted that she was competent enough to do acrylics if they let a paying customer receive them for full price. I walked into the room and was told that I had to wait a bit because the previous client was taking longer than expected. I ended up waiting a little over an hour to start my appointment. Both techs seemed unprepared, and my tech was did not even apologize for being late with her last client. She did my acrylics, took 2 hours to do so, the color that I chose for my nails looked expired, and yes, I should have said something and gotten a different color, but I really just wanted to leave at that point because I had been there for 3 hours. I left the salon 3 hours later having paid full price for nails that were misshapen, not drilled, lumpy, and not looking like I got them professionally done at all. They offered me to get gel nails instead of regular polish because it took so long, but did not specify if I would still have to pay for the uncharge of gel nails so I declined. Now, 5 days later, two of my nails have popped off unprovoked. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT QUALITY NAILS.

    Kasi is an angel! She is a perfectionist, gentle and considerate, kind, and so talented!! I enjoy my appts with her so much. Ive been going to her for my manicures for nearly a year straight now and she never disappoints. So many beautiful designs and no one has ever taken such good care of my nails. The salon is professional, adorable, and super clean. Everyone is attentive and lovely. Highly recommend Kasi and her colleagues!

    Rush job, it was a mani/pedi and they got nailpolish even on cuticles and skin. There was 3 of us getting ready for a wedding and we had to go home and redo our nails. EDIT - as per the business response of they can't fix what they don't know 1. We requested several nails be redone and eventually just gave up. 2. We were there 3 weeks ago, not sure what name it was under but it was at 2PM. 3. As per the passive aggressive comment of "maybe you'll consider communicating as opposed to jumping into a negative review. All you have to do is read other reviews from your salon. Same thing - hurt fingers, cuts, overcut cuticles, horrible nailpolish application. 4. The 3 of us were there for a wedding, we had all travelled very long distance to be together. We left a couple of days after our dissappointing visit to your salon. I would highly recommend you read the multiple reviews with the same complaints and fix the issue instead of asking people to contact you again to do a good job. Get it right the first time.

Maddie, we have tried to contact you to remedy your dissatisfaction and have yet to hear back. We are puzzled as to why you didn't voice your dissatisfaction in person or even attempt to have it resolved by calling us before jumping to a negative review. It's impossible for us to remedy an issue that we are unaware of. So, since you opted not to return the owners call, we will address your issues here. We did clarify that your service time would be extended due to being booked with a newer tech who is honing her skills so we're unclear as to why a 2 hour appt was an issue. The offer for a gel polish upgrade was made to compensate you for the extended wait time to start your appointment, so of course it would have been complimentary as charging you for an upgrade isn't compensation. The technician may have seemed frazzled because she is new, kept you waiting and was doing her best to get back on track. There was even a comment made to her on how well composed she was given the circumstance which caused her to run late with her previous client. We are sorry that the wait impacted your appointment. We do appreciate clients recognizing that we are human, things don't always go according to plan, and mistakes do happen, but when you voice understanding in person and then post a negative review it voids said understanding. But we're always eager to right any dissatisfaction...if it is brought to our attention. The staff made multiple apologies to you and your friend and you both said it was not a big deal. We haven't been voted the #1 Nail Salon in the greater Bangor area for 13 years, or been recognized as one of the top 70 nail salons in New England because we are inept or incapable of providing quality nails. Your single experience was certainly not the norm and we would have appreciated true understanding and communication in regard to your disappointment so we could resolve it. New technicians don't improve because of bad reviews, they improve when clients provide constructive feedback to them in the moment, or even after the fact via a conversation. If you'd like to take us up on the complimentary, corrective service that was relayed to your friend, you have the owners personal number.

EDIT in response to customer's edited review:1. We can't speak to corrections requests…see #2.2. We did not have a party of 3 people anytime in the past several weeks at 2pm. Is it possible that you have the wrong business? This does happen…most recently by Brandy P. who graciously edited her review to show this error.3. We apologize but it appears that our response was taken out of context. We certainly weren't being "passive aggressive", we were simply suggesting that making an effort to remedy dissatisfaction is easier done thru direct communication with a business opposed to a negative review without communication. We have accepted that we can't make everyone happy, although we certainly do try, and recognize that negative reviews come with the territory of running a business. We do have a 4.5 🌟 rating with just 2 unsatisfactory reviews in the past year…both of who opted not to reach out for a remedy prior to the review. 4. The only multi-client party we've had in the last month were not from out of town…they are local.So, while we understand your frustration, we are going to refrain from further "communication" here, as it isn't working. Again, feel free to contact us via phone (207-992-2252) if you'd like to discuss in a productive way. Afterall, it does nothing to solve things...and we're all about solutions. :) We tried to reach out directly but we're unable to find any appointments under your name or a group of 3 mani/pedis as stated.
