I just want to say the rating on the Hope house surprises me. The Bangor Area Homeless Shelter is worse. I don't blame people. Wendy who works over there is nothing but a liar and gives out false hope. Jamie and Marie (staff) sleeps with the guests at odd hours. Cuz Marie was flirting with me and my husband. It's a little bit TMI when you're intake coordinator tells you about her zipper unzipping all the time and showing it off. Both shelters are equally twisted

My son is in need of help,he does work but is homeless he is an alcoholic and has to be somewhere in Bangor due to the amount of child support he pays he can not afford the 1000 dollars rent. Is this the right place to direct him to and what can you do for him

This place saved my life. They'll give you the tools you need to get off the street, help finding a doctor, etc., if you show initiative.

Totally garbage. They would prefer I use an old dirty syringe that bends as it goes in instead of selling me one or giving me one great community service. You all are promoting harm
