Empeople Credit Union

Up until this point, I have loved this bank, but it is getting a little redundant! First, they stop with the shared ranching which screwed me over in multiple ways. Any other time that I needed funds released from my check they have done it for me. I am a contractor and I need that money to get materials that homeowners are giving me the deposit for.! So I am now taking my services elsewhere

When they were infinity fed they were great iv had auto loans iv paid off, a high limit credit card also paid off, and very personable happy experience all on a "Okay" credit score. Empeople has destroyed that, now it's all by phone (not personable at all) and they make it so hard to do anything it's almost like they don't want to do buisness with you unless your rich. After 10 years I will probly be moving to another institution it's sad the direction banks have gone since covid

When it was infinity it was an amazing expierience they actually cared about maine people and worked hard to make your time and finances to actually help in your favor! Since it switched to Empeople theres no customer sarisfaction its collect collect collect on the banks part all they care about is getting your money they are not open on saturdays which makes any deposits on the weekend pending until the following weekday and on there loans a simplet $3.05 loan protection charge they ad to your loan instead of withdrawing from your acct and then report it to your credit so it drops your score because your loan went up instead of down. Once our loan is done we are switching banks to a more maine based bank tis bank wont last long here

Someone stole my credit card number so I went to the Bangor location. I was told there is nothing they can do and was given a tiny piece of paper with the number for credit card fraud. I couldn't understand the guys broken English on the call and I'm left wondering if this will even be resolved. I also can't view my credit cards account status anymore so who knows what's going on with my finances. 7 to 10 days for a new card that other banks print in-house and I have no idea whether I'll be refunded. Terrible customer service, Thanks infinity or empeople or whatever your name is.

Not being open on a Saturday is a slap in the face and they also close during the weekdays from 11-12. Extremely inconvenient. Also, no drive through and no ATM outside. Overall, very disappointing.
