Acadia hospital has some really good staff an also a nice program, but, it's only going to work if you really want to get that help, just recently I went, and I didn't want to leave, I really would recommend them if you want help, but if you don't then this place isn't going to help you.

Do not come here for counseling. They are the worst. The staff appears to be driven by politics and ideology and is heavily focused on only helping certain groups of people. They sabotage the good work that doctors in the hospital are trying to do. They informed me today that they have nothing to do with the hospital. They told me they are their own entity. I guess that explains the disconnect between counseling and treatment. If you call that department to complain be ready to get jerked around and hung up on. The counseling department does not care about you.

Numerous doctors through this hospital I have had an awful experience with. From being misdiagnosed, to being compared to a meth user "tweaking." Sarah Eden was present during the name calling, while I was herded in a room full of doctors and therapists looking at me like a specimen on the floor. No one would tell me the name of the older male doctor who compared me to a tweaker. This was in 2021 and after I've called multiple times it's very clear no one cares what happened. Dr. Padroza, I'm sure I'm spelling it wrong, spent 8 hours with me during an evaluation. Throughout that period kept mentioning his assistant was on vacation and he normally doesn't do this. I told him very sensitive information of my life. He carelessly made comments of how my parents should have tossed me to the side when I was a reckless teenager. Keep in mind this guy has complete power over what your diagnosis is. If there was something is old guy didnt like he twisted it in his own way. Sarah Eden among countless other therapists, doctors, and nurse practitioners should have no business being in this field. I have been to this hospital over 8 times through out the years. When I'm at my worst and finally ask for help, this dump is my only option. ER only wants people to go who they are contracted through. I call and try to Express my frustration with this place, I get brushed to the side and they say they'll take my comments into consideration. Meanwhile they still keep these people on their payroll. God forbid you go through the process of actually staying at this place for more than a few days. You are herded through like cattle. 5 minute time slots with nurses, doctors, counselors. You can barely get a word in before they usher you back out. This hospital has no interest in helping you. These people see others at their most vulnerable points in their lives. These doctors looked down on me like I was nothing more than a spec of dirt on the floor. Acadia never owned up to me, and they wont to you either. Don't make the same mistake I made.
