        Just had my wedding here and It couldn't have been any more perfect! The owner and staff are such sweet, professional & organized people! I had a dream for months on how I wanted everything and they made it all happen! Thank yall sooooo much for the perfect wedding a girl could dream of! From my family to yours!

        Well, I was wrong about this place. After we left earlier than most. Hearing that the bride and groom plus family members had to rush to leave by 8 pm. That was rude and uncalled for.

        From what my wife and I saw this was an incredibly unique and relaxing place. But, and this is a big but, this turned out to be a very busy venue and not a quaint B&B. While there was no false advertising, the advertising failed to mention several key items that you SHOULD know. 1) This mansion is a very nice, large, one-story residence, 2) in the middle of nowhere, 3) with a very busy venue of other, more priority plannings wedding preparations, owner-travel-agent events, comedy club bookings, etc. so, 4) you get a private room with NOISE (which we had) and a crippled breakfast. Crippled breakfast, What the heck is that? It was an attempt at a breakfast Keurig coffee, bottled water, inedible scrambled eggs and microwave pancakes all served while night-before linens table were being folded in our dining room AND the floor was being mopped. Did I mention this is a HOUSE? Imagine having friends to your house, serving them a crippled breakfast and mopping the floor while they embarrassingly TRY to eat it!

      We are an event venue Joanna, but we are unable to provide open-ended events. We have vendors, security, wait staff, and other employees to manage so we can't simply let the party go on until everyone decides they are done. By agreement and signed contract the venue is rented for a specific time period. We understand that guests wish to continue to party, and we provide options for the hosts to extend the event for extra hours. However, when the event duration ends, we announce this, and the hosts have up to one extra hour to collect their belongings. Not sure how your reaction to this warrants a negative review but as always we appreciate your rating and hope you visit us again soon!

We're unable to address the more subjective aspects of your review, since your impressions are yours alone. However we want you to know we spent time investigating and interviewing staff to improve our service and guest experiences in the future based on your feedback. Again let us express our thanks. To the specifics: We do apologize that you were able to see a staff member folding linen and performing other housekeeping duties in a different room through an open doorway while you were trying to enjoy your breakfast. The staff member has been up-trained to avoid this in future. Regarding the breakfast you described as crippled; please note this is the same breakfast other guests rave about in their reviews and nothing is microwaved. And finally, we investigated the details of your reservation and arrival. We show communications with you letting you know an event was going to be in progress on your arrival and provided the option to cancel or book a different date before the reservation was confirmed. The staff also offered beverages and a meal on your arrival but you declined to join the other guests. In future we will put more effort into clarifying our communications so your experience won't be repeated.
