If you want to be hustled then absolutely go have Joe fix your phone. If you dont want to be scammed listen up. On March 14th my phone didnt want to charge something was wrong with the charging port. My mother called this man named Joe. He said she could bring my phone in to clean out the charging port and it wouldnt cost anything unless the phone needed parts. So the morning of March 15th we drove over to get my phone looked at. The charging port was just dirty he cleaned it out with a can of air and then proceeded to charge my mother $50. Fine. She paid it in cash even after telling him he said that cleaning would be free. No big deal. Then she proceeded to use her card to preorder a back glass for my iPhone. He was adamant that it had to be paid up front. The price of the glass ended up totaling $164.99. She paid it and then we headed off to breakfast. Come to find out I had insurance on my phone through Verizon so she called back within 45 minutes of leaving his place of business. Joe told my mother that he had no issues with refunding the full amount since the part was not ordered and would not be ordered until Monday. Her told her that She would get her money back in 3 business days. We thought everything was ok, but boy were we wrong. Saturday morning Joe proceeded to call my mother back and say that she in fact would NOT be receiving her refund because we were quote not doing any more services with him and that he charged a cleaning fee of $120?!?!? FOR USING AN AIR CAN TO SPRAY OUT A CHARGING PORT THAT SHE ALREADY PAID $50 in cash for. Who in their right mind does business like this? She tried to make it right and asked for her money back but he refused and only would refund $100. Even though he provided no extra services nor did he clean or repair any other part of my phone. He now has her completely blocked and will not fully refund her. Now the only way for her to get her money back is to take him to court and that is what the West Monroe sheriffs office told her. She also contacted The Better Business Bureau and they will also be investigating this guy named Joe. So please beware before you do any business with this person because he may also steal your hard earned money.
