Northshore Canine Academy

The fantastic team at Northshore Academy is nothing short of amazing. We would not leave our Andy and Elsie anyplace else when we go out of town. When we pull up to drop them off for boarding they are so excited and voicetrous and ready for their boarding vacation. Owners, Jimmy and Amber have created a beautiful, clean, and caring environment for our beloved dogs. Their training classes have a great safe hands on approach. Both of our rescue pups were trained by their great family team. Not only were they trained but we also had to learn the E-collar, certain walking methods to protect our pups from unleashed dogs and the prong collar. All training and tools we could not do without.. It is very pleasing to deal with such great people who care and love our 4 legged family members as if they were their own. The phenomenal service, care and friendship is what you will get at Northshore Canine Academy!!!

I sent my purebred chocolate lab to train with Amber and Jimmy and I was beyond impressed. From the ease of contact starting at the very beginning to a seamless drop off to the updates I got during training it surpassed every expectation I had. Amber and Jimmy put their heart and soul into training these dogs and it really shows. Its very clearly their passion. I trust them wholeheartedly to take care of my dog because I know shell be treated as part of the family. I am truly blessed to have found them and I receive compliments constantly about how well-behaved my dog is and how well she listens. I brag about NCA every chance I get!

After searching for a trainer for 6 months I finally talked to Amber. I knew she wasn't going to pawn the training off on another trainer without the experience like so many others I talked to. My aussiedoodle was a nervous wreck and I couldn't walk him on a leash without worry of him knocking me down or getting hurt. Amber and her team not only trained him but more importantly gave him confidence and eased his anxiety. When I picked him up from 4 week boarded training I could see how much happier he was when anxiety wasn't taking over his sweet personality. She also gave us the tools we need to continue working with him. It has been over a year since she trained him but will still answer questions we have. We are forever grateful to the team at Northshore Canine Academy.

This is the owner of NCA, writing a message in response to the review left by Christine Lamb, as Google will not allow us to directly respond. First, Christine is not a client of NCA. We have checked all database records and inquiries and we have never been contacted by or spoken to Christine Lamb. We feel that Ms. Lamb has either reviewed the wrong business or is a scam/spam profile. There is another Northshore Canine Academy in another state that perhaps Ms. Lamb intended to review, however, we are not affiliated in anyway. Second, Ms. Lamb's review states the room had a smell, which is quite interesting to us as we have never allowed tours of our kennel room. Our kennel room is located inside of our family home in Lumberton, MS as we have extremely strict policies which do not (and have never) allow for in-person tours. This is due to the privacy and safety concerns for our family and children. Third, our kennel room is cleaned from top to bottom by our staff daily. We use D256 cleaner which smells extremely good and our room (as well as all dogs) are sprayed with Tropiclean which is orange scented and smells wonderfully. This scent alone has resulted in several owners asking where to purchase the products. We are unique in that our dogs do have access to the actual great outdoors versus turf (fake grass), 3 ponds to swim in, and fields to run by 4wheelers in, so there is a level of dirty they may naturally get. Despite this, all owners are aware and are advised to book grooming. Even if they do not, we bathe the dogs before graduation and spray with Fox and Hound dog cologne and perfume. We are very prudent about the care and cleaning of the dogs in our care and the home itself. Chrstine, please remove your review and find the correct business to post it under. Your review can negatively impact our business reputation, which we have worked hard to build and maintain for many years.
