I will try to make the most objective review I can and explain my reasons for moving out after 3 months of renting. I had an awful experience when I moved in; I reserved an apartment and a covered parking 2-3 months before moving in from NY city. During my drive down there , 2 DAYS before my moving date I was told that my apartment was not ready and I could not move in and it was not their fault, the city did not grant them the required permits to function. True or not, after trying to find another apartment here or in another place went to see the building and it was not finished. It lacked mirrors, tops and other parts. The management blamed it on the city but regardless of the permits it was an unlivable apartment and they new that months in advance. First point that bothered me. Adding to that, the paperwork required to move in was sent to me at that point which was impossible for me to fill while on the road. Saying it was a pain is an understatement. Melissa was very helpful in this regard and stayed with me through out the process. No help in difficult times by management. Second point: I was not given a covered parking spot as requested initially and my motorcycle had to stay outside for 2 months damaging it. I was out of the country when the hurricane hit and my bike was outside which damaged it and now I have to take it for service (it is a 2020 bike). When I requested the management to please push it to a covered area they told me to ask a neighbor for help and stopped answering. I moved from out of state did not know anyone. (Have to take it to Houston to fix, multiple problems due to being outside) What broke my patience: NOICE! I live in the 2nd floor and my neighbors from upstairs play music, make gatherings and play very loud videogames at times like 3-4am in a Monday since I moved in. Went to complain with management and they did not do anything. The second time I complained told them that it was for this reason, I had enough. The manager quickly wanted to fix the problem which I appreciate but it was already too late for me. My rating by area: Management regarding renters issues: 1 / 5 stars Maintenance issues: 5/5 stars (quick response time to fix issues) Quality of apartment: 2/5 stars Poor quality, paper think walls, steps can be heard from people walking, voices, cheap counter tops and poor wiring job for internet. AT&T person took 1 day to fix cable issues and complained it was a job done poorly. Appliances are GOOD Property from the outside: 3/5 Pool, gym and outside very well taken care of but corridors very dirty. Location 5/5 Close to a mall and the highway. I think it is absolutely overprized for what you get and would not recommend it.
