North Village Apartments

This review is coming from someone who's lived in Columbus Ohio, Manhattan & Brooklyn New York, Lisbon , London , Berlin , St. Petersburg , Monaco just to name a few. This place is by far the absolute best place to recommend someone to live if you absolutely hate their guts. From daily rate to straight mid amenities, let me give you the rundown of this absolute hole. I'll start with the daily rate they charge if you're not signing a lease. The "gated community" like, why even call it that when 4 days out of 7 the gate immediately to the right is left open at all hours of the day? The security? A JOKE Put it this way, if you see someone selling dope & call Ruston police, they'll tell you to call Terrace police. Then what do they do? Absolutely nothing. Which FYI you guys will get a big lawsuit one day if you keep that mess up. Not sure if the owners or managers are getting a cut but we do have audio & footage of people literally purchasing dope. The gym? What's the point of even offering it as an "amenity"? There's an (1) elliptical, like two (2) treadmills, jokes for weights, no bike, like even buildings I'm the Bronx & Brooklyn have doormen & pelotons But let me not leave off the fact that they have an entire room for you to practice your golf swing The volleyball court floods at the slightest bit of rain. People most certainly don't clean up after themselves when they have events- the amount of times I've either slipped on a corona bottle or sat in birthday cake is incredulous. But if you're paying upwards of $1500 why not just hire someone to do a walkthrough after parties & charge them for any infractions? The little trail that goes around the place is cute. As is the little playground for those under 9. Otherwise, I'd give this place a strong 2 out of 300. If you're looking to move into THIS place? Don't. If you have nowhere else to live, be sure to record a video of EVERYTHING before moving in. This includes videos on inside the stove, clear footage of window sills, the ceilings et al. Because they'll charge you for not cleaning your apartment when they don't even offer cleaning.

We love this place. The office staff is super friendly. Maintenance is always on time and does a neat and thorough job. It's quiet even with all the college students. It's a good mix of all different walks of life. We are glad we found this place.

Positive: The apartment itself was modern, clean, and relatively quiet. There were many great amenities like the pool, hot tub, outdoor bar with large TV, fog park, dog washing station, etc. Parking near every unit was always available. Negative: There was dog waste everywhere! Many dog owners neglected to pick up after their pets in spite of dog bags and waste disposal stands located throughout the park. Even the increasingly harsh threats from management did nothing to curb the problem. The price was on the high end when we moved in and after the lease was up we moved out because management had increased the rent even higher.

Very good complex. Very well maintained. Little pricey but you get what you pay for. The pool sometimes would turn green but otherwise very well maintained. Very courteous staff.

Rachel helped us threw the entire process of moving in. She was fantastic helping us. My wife and I couldnt be more pleased. We would highly recommend the North Village Apartments for anyone wanted a beautiful place to live. Everyone is very helpful.
