Bright Morning Star Baptist

Having lived in this area for over 30 years, I recently noticed Bright Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church during one of my walks. Despite learning about the heartbreaking and intentional incident involving the pastor and his wife, I decided to attend. I'm genuinely glad I did. The community at Bright Morning Star has faced a challenging situation with resilience. The warmth and friendliness of the congregation were evident from the moment I stepped in. The intentional incident involving the pastor and his wife should not overshadow the genuinely wonderful individuals who make up this church. In a world quick to judge, it's important to remember that one person's actions don't define an entire community. Bright Morning Star is a testament to this. I encourage anyone considering attending to look beyond the negative reviews and acknowledge the strength of this community in facing adversity. My experience was nothing short of uplifting, and I look forward to attending again in the near future. Kudos to the community at Bright Morning Star for exemplifying resilience, warmth, acceptance, and the true spirit of fellowship.

Just seen on the news where this pastor shot his wife and himself in front of their children. Praying they both pull through. Prayers for those precious babies. I can't imagine what they're going through.
