We started training just days after my sisters sudden suicide over a year ago, because I needed to be in my body and out of my head.  I've had and not had trainers off and on for decades and I know Im too busy to work out unless there is money and a respect for other people's time on the line.  My huz and I live in California half the year and this location is really close to our place in town.  We are currently doing dual sessions with Alex, and while they have all been great, Alex has really stepped it up, and found that spot, where each workout takes you as far as you can go and you push through.  We would NEVER work out this hard (or consistently) in a gym.  He's already setting up the next thing, so you are focussing on endurance instead of where the damn 25s are, working out too hard on the pulley because some fool wouldn't get off the machine for 15 minutes and then invariably pull a muscle and then not be able to work out for awhile.  Id LOVE to find someone like Alex back in SF, but I doubt we will.  I can't think of anyplace I would recommend more highly.

I am a 68 year old male. When I started with Julie and Meghann I was over weight, had chronic back pain and could barely run. That was approximately 13 months ago. They have helped me lose 23 pounds. I feel much stronger. I ran a 5K in April. I now jog/run 3 to 4 times a week. I workout with Julie twice a week now and feel great. I will run another 5K in August. My back doesnt bother me daily like it used. Thank you Meghann and Julie ... you have both proven that age is just a number. With the proper motivation and guidance any one can get in shape.. Michael

My 14-year son, who has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, has been strength training with Julie 4 times a week since July 2018. The benefits are clear, his back is straighter, his glutes and quads are stronger, he has more endurance and trunk strength than ever before and he has a lot fun. Julie is not only an excellent personal trainer, but she has a background in special education and was not afraid when I approached her 9 months ago to see if she would be willing to design and implement a full body strength training program for my son. She was excited for the challenge, took the time to read and follow up on the research/educational materials I provided her, and she ensured that she had the appropriate equipment and modifications to meet his needs. She tracks his progress, is constantly thinking about creative ways to challenge him, while also being flexible when he is having a tough day due to his physical challenges. Julie and my son have a very sweet relationship, she certainly has earned a soft spot in his heart and he always looks forward to seeing her. Thank you Julie for becoming an integral member of my sons team.

I'm on my second group of sessions with Meghann. She was great working with me during the beginning of my pregnancy, and she's now working with me postpartum. She does a great job putting up with my uncoordinated butt, and I get embarrassed easily, so the intimacy of the studio makes me feel much more comfortable.

Julie and I do 4 one hour sessions a week, and the results are just what I hoped for, which is fat loss and muscle gain at the same time. I do some training for side goals like a hike with a vertical climb that I was perfectly prepared for, and am now working towards running some races.Julie is personable and motivating without ever being overbearing. Her bag of tricks for new exercises is deep, and I'm never bored since we rarely repeat things exactly the same way.
