When you hear that the poboy is made with Leidenheimer bread that adds some authenticity. But I had never seen the actually bread in its basic form until now. Each of those bags has about 10 rolls of bread and they are almost as tall as me. I got the roast beef and my friend got roast beef and shrimp. And by my friend I mean the total stranger that was nice enough to share a table with me in this small dining area. Almost killed an entire tree with the amount of napkins I used. This place is the definition of New Orleans.

delicious! affordable! old school! secret menu! new orleans institution! probably one of the best po boys we had on our trip. famous for their fried oyster po boy! regretted not trying the roast beef as many locals and regulars were ordering them. service is a bit slow but thats because good food takes time ;) and they fry things up fresh! very cute corner patio to sit out on and have a crisp beer while you wait.

Domillise"s is by far my favorite place to get a po-boy. I had the roast beef and Swiss and it was delicious. The service is top notch. It's a place you want to go to experience some real New Orleans food. Highly recommend going when you are here. Also, buy yourself a shirt or a hoodie. Or why not both like I did.
