My partner and I dined here on vacation during Easter weekend. I must say this was the best restaurant we went to in New Orleans. The atmosphere itself is very old world and elegant. These are one of the few restaurants that have a dress code, which was nice to see everyone dressed up in their Easter finest. From the moment you walk in you are greeted very warm and the service is beyond approach. The food is outstanding. I had their fried oysters and they were so tasty well appointed. I then went on to have a bowl of their very delicious gumbo. The soup had the right amount of flavor and the seafood used in the dish was very fresh. The main course I had a dole fish of the day which was cooked perfectly and was very tasty. For the side, I had the mashed potatoes which were very creamy, but not too rich. Our server was excellent. She knew exactly how to course out the meal and how to service the excellent selection of wine that they have. It appears that their Easter brunch menu was their regular one; which is excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a nice evening on the town or for a special occasion.
