If you are a boujie, everything needs to be new, cold, bland and soulless; if you want luxury and snobbery, then this IS NOT for you. If you want a real NOLA experience, and to walk into 1930s eclectic France; if you want cozy, quaint, quietif you want culture, authenticity and vibe then this place IS for you. I love this place and will stay whenever I come to NOLA FQ. Its easy to check in, and the place is clean and comfortable.

We only stayed there one night but felt welcomed like family. I expect to stay there again when we return. The place is an old building, and if you know old houses, you know. If you expect a hotel like you stay in outside of the Iowa City airport, move on. That said, certainly a little sprucing up never hurts, and the floors were very slippery when wet (I expect too much Shimmer Floor Wax, lol). Overall, great place and bonus cats in the courtyard. Much love to everyone.

We just got back from celebrating my daughter's 21st in New Orleans and we chose to stay at the New Orleans guest house for the weekend. We truly enjoyed our stay, and I cannot say enough about how friendly the staff was. The beauty of this home is captivating. We had a room upstairs, and the balcony doors that they opened in the mornings gave us a fresh smile as soon as we opened our room's door. This is not your typical chain hotel, this is a stay for true, and authentic New Orleans. I hope to be back soon! Thank you guys for having us!

BED BUG INFESTATION. This place is absolutely filthy. I woke up with bed bugs bites on my torso and ankles. The entire room has a very unpleasant smell my guess is mold, probably under the carpet. There was human and animal hair everywhere, including in the bed (see pic). The bed was not made when we arrived (see pic). The towels were just thrown in a pile when we arrived (see pic). I dont think anyone has vacuumed under the bed in years. The bathroom door does not shut. Expedia tells me the hotel has refused any refund on my behalf because I didnt complain to the staff, but I did not see a worker there during my entire stay. I also wrote to Expedia on the first night of my stay expressing my dissatisfaction. I have tried calling the hotel many times and they do not answer my phone calls. DO NOT STAY HERE.
