This is a magical and fantastically eclectic and aesthetic hotel in a superb location for exploring NOLA. We had a huge and beautifully presented room and the room service throughout our stay was exceptional. The staff are friendly and relaxed, the sociability of the common areas (for instance cheese and wine in the guest lounge every evening) is really great. There is a cool vibe, with music and snacks always on hand. The decor is White Lotus meets Soho House. There is a secret speakeasy and the connected Marilou Bar is a vibe. Prices are high as you wold expect for this level of luxury.

Maison de la Luz re-energized us and satisfied our expectations for a boutique hotel experience. Each staff member was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast experience delivered what we expected for food quality, ambience and service. The room was spacious and well-appointed. The location was perfect for the segment of our trip when we wanted to be near the action of the French Quarter while resting away from the festivities. Access to the sister hotel, the Ace Hotel, added amenities that we had not planned to use, but thoroughly enjoyed!

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and very clean! We loved the wine and cheese in the evening and fresh coffee brought to our rooms in the morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, considering the cost, we had higher expectations with service. A few issues came up with not receiving turndown service when requested and being told they can't always get to every room. Also, our chromcast in the room wasn't working which we later found out others had the same issue during their stay. Rooms: Absolutely beautiful and very clean! Nearby activities: Lots to do just a few blocks in any direction.
