What's the point of a bar in the hotel if it's never open? Everything else was very nice, staff was great!

Fairfield in by Marriot located in the French Quarter of New Orleans is a hotel away from the hustle and bustle, but close to it, it has a New Orleans breakfast plan included, which you have to adapt to, the beds are comfortable and the elevators work well, it is a good place to stay, and has good spots for photos

We stayed here from Wednesday March 13th- 17th and the ac was out the entire time. We left for the day Thursday thinking it would be fixed when we returned but to our surprise, it was not. I asked at the desk what was going on and I was given attitude and was told that they were working on it. Next day, Friday , woke up to the room rising up to 78 degrees. We showered and stopped by the front desk. Asked them whats going on with the ac and I was once again told that they were working on it. We left and returned that night still with no ac. Now its Saturday. I wake up, called corporate and was told that they cannot do anything about it. I went back to the desk and asked them to transfer me to another hotel or refund me so I could go to another hotel. They refused. I have asthma. I hithupaid 1,000.00 for my stay and would have been better off camping with the heat. The window in the room doesnt open so youre just stuck smelling the mustiness of the room. I would never stay here again and Im debating on ever using Marriott again. The fact that they do nothing at all when something like this happens is absolutely disgusting. The amount of money they bring in each night is plenty to afford fixing the ac. I will keep contacting people until I get to the right person to fix the terrible stay we had to endure.
