        Take this with a grain of salt- everyones experience is different. I opened my first checking account with LaCap in 2013 because some people at ULM recommended it. Credit unions are supposed to be good for low interest loans and low mortgage closing costs etc. When it came time to purchase a car and later on a house, LaCap did not pull through for me. I had 750 credit score. Now that Ive got a big girl job with big girl money traveling outside of Louisiana, Im limited to $2,500 external transfers per month and the only banks are in Louisiana. I recommend using this as a secondary bank. Hope this helps!
