Koster Insurance never properly completed the assumption of a policy for our home purchase. They provided a modified instrument to the Title Company indicating that they were complying with the assumption directive, but in reality the policy had already been canceled and no notifications were ever properly provided to lender, title company, or to us the purchasers that the policy was not active. On the date of the closing, the address of the insured was also changed by Koster Insurance to the previous owner at their new address so the previous owner was paid twice, once through the settlement in the closing, and again on a refund of the canceled policy. Our home never actually had a valid policy, so we were left uninsured during the time period that the policy in question was intended to cover. After indicating to the Title Company that they would work to correct this matter, their phones became disconnected.
