Walmart Auto Care Centers

I used to work in Walmart ACC, do not take your car to Walmart ACC for service. Do not let Walmart employees touch your car. They are not legitimate technicians. They do not have your best interest in mind. All Walmart really cares about is servicing as many cars as possible in a single day. If you drive up to Walmart ACC you're essentially ready to gamble and throw some dice, with your car. A long explanation follows. Your vehicle might recommend 10W-30 oil, but maybe it also could take 5W-30. If Walmart is out of 10w30 you get 5w30. If Walmart has 1qt 10w30 and 3.4qt 5w30 that is what goes in your vehicle. It is technically correct, but only if that particular oil is of the same viscosity (how thick or thin the oil is), and if it is the same type of oil, and the same brand recommended for your vehicle. Walmart doesnt have actual certified technicians. They dont know the difference between High Mileage, Synthetic, or standard engine oil. They see on a tablet what to put in your car and if they dont have it they ask the lead technician, who also doesnt know anything, what to do. Etc. I could write a book. Your car is your 2nd biggest investment in life. Take it to Walmart if you feel lucky. Keep in mind they wont pay for your vehicle to be fixed because they fudged an oil change. You cant prove it was their fault. It cost an extra $20 to $40 for basic vehicle maintenance at amechanic or dealership. It is a cost worth paying for your car.

Despite calling before coming in to be sure we could get our tire fixed, upon coming in a very rude man got short with us for even walking in and told us that regardless as to what was said on the phone, he couldnt do it, and had no advice on what to do because of this. Overall very negative experience.
