The WORST Chick-fil-A... Poor Excuse for Customer Service First, let me say that I love Chick-fil-A and the quality of food they serve. However, Store #02203 located at 3435 Nelson Rd in Lake Charles is by the worst when it comes to speed and customer service.I'm not from Lake Charles, but I've been working in the area since February of 2022. I used to dine at this location 4 - 5 times per week, but I cut back to 1 -2 times per week due to extremely lack of concern for speed and customer service.Today (Saturday 09/17/22), I visited this location and ordered two medium Mac & Cheese. I always set my watch timer and observe operations when ordering from this location. It took 16 minutes to get my order. Really, Chick-fil-A?  I can never understand why the service is so slow. I understand this is a very busy location, but today I counted more than 8 front end employees and many kitchen employees pacing back and forth behind the counter. Confused as of what their duties were, poorly trained, or lack of leadership? I don't know. I finally saw the food expediter bag my order and placed it in the holding area. It sat there for more than 2 additional minutes. I tried to get several employees attention to get my sitting order, but every employee is operating with their head down and not pay any attention to the guests. I almost walked behind the counter to get my order, but I didn't want to start any problems. Finally, an employee started handing out several orders that had been placed on the side. The problem is she didn't give the orders out in the order they were place in the holding area; therefore, I received my order last. UNACCEPTABLE. As much as I hate to, I will have to stop dining at this Chick-fil-A location. I CANNOT and will NOT tolerate this type of service. There are too many unproductive employees working at this location. With the number of staff working, there is no way it should be taking this long to get orders out. I was not the only frustrated customer who were patiently waiting for long awaited placed orders. In a situation where the restaurant is busy there must be a leader to take control of the situation. No at this location. It was on auto pilot today. I did not see or hear anyone providing direction to the employees who were just standing around doing nothing. If an employee is on break, they should not be behind the counter. I've been to many Chick-fil-A restaurants in many different states, and I have NEVER been subject to this type of customer service. The BEST location is the College Drive location in Baton Rouge.

As always, the food is amazing at Chick-Fil-A, but as for positives in this review, that's about all I can say. I feel like I'm being a little generous by giving a 2-star review; however, this Nelson Rd. location did really poorly on my order. I understand it's Chick-Fil-A and that there has been and always will be a long line, but when a customer waits for 45 minutes to get their food, you would expect the order to be right. Well, my order was completely wrong. I ordered a large fry and they put a medium fry box worth of fries in my large fry box. They also made my sandwich fried instead of grilled like I ordered it. I also asked for cilantro lime sauce and I got no sauce at all. By the time I realized that my order was wrong, I was already leaving the restaurant and the line was so long there was no point in going back to fix the order. At the very least, I'm pretty upset about it. I worked at the Prien Lake Mall location until it shut down, and the standards we held for customer service far outdid the kind of service at the Nelson location. This is just a heads up to any staff that might be reading this.
