Ochsner Extended Care Hospital

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional care and support my mom received during her recent three-week stay here. The care she received attributed to her recovery. From the moment she arrived, we were impressed by the professionalism, kindness, compassion, and dedication of the entire team. Each member of the staff, from the nurses, therapists, security, aides, dietary and administrative staff, played a crucial role in making her stay top notch. I particularly want to acknowledge [Kathy, Shimeko, Lily, Donald, Alan, George, Mary, Brittany, Zel Margaret, Michelle, Vicky, Jill, Collin, Haley, CJ, Jodi, Chris (Wound Care) and Carolyn] for their outstanding care and attention to detail. Their expertise and compassionate approach significantly contributed to her positive experience and recovery. The cleanliness, safety measures, and overall organization were commendable and greatly appreciated. The food that was prepared was always fresh and delicious.

Very bad place to seek care if you have a hard time dealing with discrimination and malpracticing providers who lied when they swore an oath.

I had my mother in law in this place and most of the staff sucks!!!! It is the worst care for people! You buz the buzzer and they be at the desk and turn them off. They don't go check on the people so you have to go look for someone down the hall. I would not give one star if I did not have to. We had to take turns to stay there because to make sure they were taking good care of her. Out of about 20 people working there maybe they have 5 that are nice helpful and respectable the others are grouchy disrespectful and racist!!! The case manager doesn't know her job very unhelpful!!! This place needs to be under investigation because insurance is very expensive and we can't get a lot of things because there are too many people getting paid for not doing anything!!!!

Hey guys, I arrived at this hospital in some rough shape. The staff admitted me from the emergency department as soon as the were able to despite me arriving on a holiday. The staff here put their hearts into their profession and go above and beyond to take care of their patients. I have a vegetarian diet, and despite their current lack of resources, they made prompt accommodations to meet not only my dietary needs, but my physical needs as well. Nurse Reneis and Dr. Lisa were absolute rockstars in their top notch care and attentiveness, as well as all of the other staff who made me feel like I was in a safe, pain free, and comfortable place. So if you are a local or a tourist just visiting the city and you have a medical emergency that arises, Oschner Extended Care is the way to go, Thank you all!
