Hey Shane, I was surprised to get your review. It is disappointing that you had an issue with your bill. Most complaints with doctors offices are about the bill. I wanted to be sure we were following our policy, so I did some research on your specific complaint. Your bill was a result of not meeting your deductible yet this year. That situation comes up more at the beginning of each the year. I remember my staff discussing your deductible at your first visit and taking money up front for that reason. I also remember over hearing a conversation during your first visit where you guys discussed that you would be getting a bill for the the remainder of the visit that might not be covered due to your deductible. The amount of your bill as with basically all doctor offices are set prior to you becoming a patient. Contrary to popular belief, your insurance company sets what they will allow me to charge and what they will pay me on your behalf. Its literally a contract between them and myself. You have a similar contract with your insurance company that you like myself agreed to stating the same type of information. That being said, my staff offered to let you be seen for a partial payment towards your existing bill the day you were here for your second appointment. We offer that as a courtesy at our office. Certainly that offer still stands.I have experienced the result of a very high deductible recently myself. It was very frustrating because of the amount I have to pay for insurance every year. I hate that you experience that same feeling. However, I don't feel your review reflects the care you received and is not exactly a great depiction of what actually transpired or the circumstances.
